This work explores the playful nature of the koppu, an earring traditionally worn on the helix of the ear. As a child, I loved pulling, pushing, twisting, and turning it between my fingers - a small, joyful pastime. I reimagined what it would feel like to walk on it as if it were a fallen log in the bushes: to rest on it, to pretend my friends and I had conquered it.
