Born out of a nude portrait workshop in Pune, this drawing-painting reflects an intimate encounter between artist and model, woman to woman. As the artist sketched, she felt the quiet suffering of the reclining figure before her—a body carrying pain yet offering itself with grace and resilience. That moment of recognition transformed into a work that speaks more broadly to the condition of women: no matter how much they endure, they continue with strength, often even with joy.
